    Compliance Officer

    Pearl Lopina has nearly twenty years of service with the US Food and Drug Administration. She began her career in 2002 as a Consumer Safety Officer covering import operations at the Port Elizabeth, NJ Resident Post. In 2015, she was promoted to Import Specialist.

    In 2017, Ms. Lopina transitioned into her current role as a Compliance Officer with the US FDA Human and Animal Food Operations East Division 4. Her primary duties include recommending appropriate regulatory action after review and evaluation of information gathered during establishment inspections and/or investigations, and ensuring non-compliant regulated firms make necessary changes to meet the regulations.

    Prior to working for FDA, Ms. Lopina was a Registered Environmental Health Specialist intern for the Kenilworth and Union, NJ local health department. Ms. Lopina has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science.
